A GROUP HOME SETTING
The Residential Living Center is a group home
setting for adults with mental illness such as schizophrenia,
schizoaffective disorder, bipolar disorder, depression
and anxiety disorder.
New residents to Parents' Foundation
for Transitional Living, Inc. are always admitted
to the Residential Living Center (group home). For
most new residents the primary focus is the individual's
psychiatric stability. Intensive support services
in the Residential Living Center help residents
focus on stabilization and recovery.

ACCOMMODATIONS
As in most group homes, the Residential Living Center
is dormitory style bedrooms and baths accommodating
up to fifteen residents. Just like home, the kitchen
is the place where everyone congregates. Visitors
are welcomed in the beautiful historically detailed
living room. The recreation room is the hub of resident
activities. Buffet-style meals and snacks are provided.
The Residential Living Center is licensed by the State of Connecticut as a Mental Health Residential Living Center.
